Additional Rapid Prototyping Achievements
- RAA VAK Effort – Streamlined design, development and deployment of the Remote Advise and Assist Virtual Accompany Kit (RAA VAK), completing a proposal in 5 days, delivering a Version 1 prototype to Iraq within 90 days, and providing three Version 2 prototypes within 60 days after feedback. Successfully executed a CMNS contract for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP), deploying 11 RAA VAK kits within 90 days. The RAA VAK optimizes currently available communications technologies to provide seamless locale node connectivity (WiFi (including long range, high bandwidth point-to-point WiFI); Cellular, MANET) with beyond the line-of-sight capabilities (Satellite, Cellular, Ethernet) for backhaul of tactical communications/ data to operational and strategic levels.
- USSOCOM Austere Location Force Protection Kit (ALFPK) – Led the design, development, systems integration, and LRIP for the USSOCOM ALFPK, supporting Village Stability Operations (VSO) in Afghanistan. Conducted in-theater new equipment training, leading to ALFPK becoming a USSOCOM Program of Record.
- SAMS Tactical Security System – Designed, developed, tested, and produced SAMS to secure OCONUS safe houses, arms rooms, and classified storage areas for SOCCENT. Conducted in-theater new equipment training. The system integrates tactical geolocation software with COTS motion sensors and cameras, providing AES-256 encrypted SMS alerts and imagery via host-nation cellular infrastructure for secure monitoring.
- Wearable Low-Light Soldier Cam – Developed a wearable EO/IR digital camera with a motorized IR cut filter and wireless streaming capability. The system provided real-time video streaming, data collection, and after-action reporting during force-on-force scenarios in low-light conditions. Three prototypes were developed and demonstrated within six months.
